Evaluation journals are growing in number, and the number and variety of potential and actual contributors to them is expanding. In this session, the editors of five journals representing four professional evaluation associations across the world—the African Evaluation Association, the Australasian Evaluation Society, the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association, and the American Evaluation Association—will present their version of "crossing across boundaries."
The editors have prepared video vignettes and representation will be from Mark Abraham (the African Evaluation Journal), Lyn Alderman (
Evaluation Journal of Australasia), Fiona Cram (
Evaluation Matters - He Take Tō Te Aromatawai), Paul Brandon (
New Directions for Evaluation), and Sharon Rallis (
American Journal of Evaluation). We will begin the session with each editor providing a brief overview of his or her journal's purpose, sections, submission and review methods, breadth of readership, and so forth. The editors will discuss the differences and similarities in their journals. Then we will accept questions and comments from the session audience, clarifying any ambiguities and taking suggestions about journal procedures.
This presentation will include Video Vignettes from: Mark Abrahams, Paul Brandon, Fiona Cram, Sharon Rallis.
